Lake Erie Labrador Retriever Rescue

Duke the blog dog for Hearth Hounds that create unique dog Christmas stockings

Hi all!

Did you know I was part Lab? Yep, I'm a mutt, but Labrador at heart! So that's why I wanted to share with you a very special organization that is helping my fellow Labs, Lake Erie Labrador Retriever Rescue.

The folks at LELRR and their team of foster families have been rescuing and rehoming Labs since 1995. It is an extraordinary group of volunteers that step up for those who are in desperate need. Once gathered into the group, each dog receives a thorough medical examination and treatment which can include; blood work, spaying or neutering, deworming and parasite treatment, vaccinations, prescriptions of medications and therapies, etc. As you can imagine the costs can rapidly add up, especially for a 501c3 organization!

Before and after a dental procedure provided by LELRR! What a relief!

Recently eight sweet girls have found their way into the group. All require the standard physical attention while others are in need of extra TLC. Three have been cleared for adoption and the remaining five are still undergoing medical treatment. They are a very small group and they could really use your help!

Look at all those sweet faces!

They currently have a GoFundMe fundraiser set up specifically for this group of ladies who are dubbed the "Seven From Heaven (Plus One)". The estimated costs for the eight ring up to a whopping $10,000-$12,000! They are just about 1/4 of the way to their GoFundMe goal and any donation amount is greatly appreciated.

For the next month, Hearth Hounds will be donating 10% of all our Lab dog Christmas stocking sales towards helping this wonderful group. Let's all help get these ladies on their feet and into forever homes!

Together we can help make a difference!

Please help all dogs stay waggy my friends,
~Duke
